TWBC CERTIFICATION TESTING

Welcome to the Trusted Watch Builder Certification Testing!

Please follow the instructions below to take the tests and perform your submissions.


Once you are finished, you will receive an email from Adam (within three business days) with the results and what steps will be taken next to get your badge, your profile on the Trusted Watch Builder Website, as well as certification certificate.

TWBC Badge

The badge comes in a PNG file for you to add to your website or social media. It can also be linked to the TWBC website directly.

TWBC Certificate

After the test is completed and you reach a passing score, you will receive a certificate showing the world that you've become officially certified.

TWBC Website

Your certification status will be placed on the TWBC website (as your exclusive webpage), where the public will see that you are certified and where to find you.

Testing Steps and Requirements

Please follow the four basic steps of the certification testing below.

Part One: General Knowledge

112 multiple choice questionnaire based on basic building techniques and general knowledge.

Part Two: Customer Care

50 multiple choice questions and a 4-part written custom care response section.

Part Three: Build Asset Upload

File upload section that shows the building process as well as procedures for timgraphing and pressure testing.

Part Four: Make Your Pledge

Accept and sign the TWBC code of conduct and digital pledge as a trusted watch builder.

Once testing is completed and you've passed, you will receive the following as part of your certification.

  1. Certificate of Certification
  2. A TWBC Certification Badge (like the one above)
  3. A link to the TWBC Website with your certification number and status.

Part One: General Knowledge

DESCRIPTION

The following multiple choice test is based on General Knowledge watch building information.

Although the questions are fairly simple, you'll need a certain score to gain certification. (See Scoring below)

INSTRUCTIONS

Click the "Take the Test" button for review and to take the test. DO NOT USE A MOBILE DEVICE as the link will open up another window via google forms. Once you are finished with all questions, you will see a "submit" button on the bottom of the page. Although the form is set to remember your responses (if you need to walk away), please carve out enough time (maybe an hour or so) to get through all of the testing.


SCORING

There are a total of 112 points for the multiple choice questions. You must get at least 90% correct. For the questions you get wrong, you will be shown the correct answer in order to secure your certification.

Part Two: Customer Care

DESCRIPTION

The following multiple choice test is based on Customer Care questions. There is also a very short 4 question written part towards the end.

Although the questions are fairly simple, you'll need a certain score to gain certification. (See Scoring below)

There are a total of 50 points for the multiple choice questions and a four-part written section. You must get at least 90% correct. For the questions you get wrong, you will be shown the correct answer in order to secure your certification..

Part Three: File Uploads

DESCRIPTION

This portion of the testing involves physical build techniques and proof of proper installation and care. These uploads are here to show the basic build requirements.

The test itself is on Google Docs. As with the other test, you must click the link to open up a new window as there are file upload options that cannot be embedded into this webpage.


PLEASE NOTE: File types should be jpg, jpeg, or png and under 10MB each. Some of the questions will allow you to upload multiple files and images.

As a Certified Trusted Watch Builder, I understand that my reputation and the trust of my customers depend on the quality of my work, my honesty, and my professionalism. I commit to the following:

1. Ethical Parts Use

I will never use counterfeit, misrepresented, or trademark-infringing parts in any of my builds. I will clearly label all components as genuine, aftermarket, or modified, and I will represent each watch honestly to buyers.

2. Quality Workmanship

I will assemble every watch with attention to detail, clean technique, and proper tooling. I will align, secure, and test each build—including regulation—before delivering it to the customer.

3. Professional Customer Care

I will treat all customers with respect, clarity, and responsiveness. I will handle issues with empathy and offer solutions that reflect pride in my work and a commitment to lasting customer satisfaction.

4. Trusted Representation

I will carry the "Trusted Watch Builder" name as a symbol of integrity and craftsmanship. I understand that this certification reflects not only my skills but also the standards I uphold in my business.
